The more I experimented with different types of printmaking, the more I realised how much I enjoyed the straightforwardness and honesty of lino printing, which I could combine with drawing and mark making without too much mess or expense.\n\nTen years on, my business has grown and is different in lots of ways, but my philosophy hasn’t changed. I haven’t strayed too far from my original design and print processes, either. One of the best things about working for yourself is quality control. For example, I’ve always chosen to create my own print multiples and still make each one myself in my workshop. This way, I can make sure all the colours, lines and textures look as good as they should do.
